The 8th annual Hip-Hop Congress National Conference kicks off today in Seattle. The event will feature workshops, trainings, film screenings and other events related to the culture.

The event continues through Friday. Among notable events will be the screening of The New Muslim Cool, a documentary in which Puerto Rican rapper Hamza Perez travels America to find hip hop in interesting places.
